Testimonials

Diana Clark - President
Tau Phi Chapter 477
St. Charles, MO
Kappa Delta Pi is a tremendous asset to all educators. Members have access to educators all over the world. I especially appreciate the magazines, which address current issues facing teachers today. The Web site serves as a resource and support to members. In our local chapter, I have the benefit of communicating with students, teachers, and professors in my area, which has helped to guide my education and job search. I am proud to be a part of the heritage of KDP—progressive and forward-thinking people dealing with educational issues and offering innovative solutions. I believe that Kappa Delta Pi is a true resource for everyone.

Marleni Bruner, Alpha Delta Chapter

It is great to be affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi because it is committed to its founding ideals. It is not another line on a résumé or a passive society. It is an organization in which members can truly become active and, in turn, be involved in the education profession and make a difference when it really counts.

My beliefs about education and teaching are stated so profoundly in the long history and mission of Kappa Delta Pi and the support that I feel is invaluable. In this current environment of high-stakes testing, it is important to feel like you are not alone in your understanding of what teaching students is actually about. I have been encouraged by having several of my ideas supported by KDP’s teacher classroom grants.

By re-reading my pledge that is posted on the wall above my desk, I am inspired to teach, to serve, and to live. Thank you, Kappa Delta Pi, for challenging and shaping the current thinking in education, encouraging positive educational change, and engaging in global community discourse, as well as keeping that hive buzzing with quality educational research and thought so that I can focus on my meaningful work with students and colleagues, young and old.
